Eric J. Moutz

Eric J. Moutz earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School and his B.A. summa cum laude, from Ohio Northern University. While at the University of Michigan, Mr. Moutz was part of a team that won the United States national championship in the Jessup Moot Court Competition, won an award of excellence in the oral advocacy program, and was an assistant editor of the Michigan Journal of Law Reform. During law school, Mr. Moutz clerked for the Ohio Fifth District Court of Appeals in Canton, Ohio.

After law school, Mr. Moutz worked for two large international law firms where his practice focused on complex and high stakes litigation matters. Over the course of Mr. Moutz's career, he has handled a wide variety of litigation matters including contract disputes, partnership disputes, securities and fraud cases, construction defect cases, real estate disputes, and employment matters. In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Moutz served on the Board of Directors of Apogaea, Inc., which is a Denver based 501(c)(3) non-profit community arts foundation, volunteered as an advocate for victims of domestic violence with the St. Vrain Safehouse, worked as a hearing officer for the Denver Civil Service Commission, and was a founding member of the Board of Directors of Colorado NORML. Mr. Moutz currently volunteers his time at the Burningman Project, a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts institution, where he assists in developing programming and procedures for art and cultural events around the country. Mr. Moutz is also ccurrently a member of the Boulder County Board of Adjustment and a public arbitrator with FINRA.
