Mr. Moutz has handled a broad range of litigation matters in both the state and federal courts, with a focus on business disputes, general commerical litigation, fraud and securities actions, and employment litigation. Gosine v. Norris et al., Case No. 2010CV809, (Boulder Dist. Ct. 2010). Lead counsel for plaintiff in business dispute concerning ownership of business; matter settled.

Box v. Wise et al., Case No. ------ (Boulder Dist. Ct. 2010). Lead counsel for plaintiff in securities act and other claims relating to investment in business; matter settled.

Roshko v. Robson Contracting, Ltd. Case No. 10CV1154 (Larmier Dist. Ct. 2010). Lead counsel for Plaintiff in construction defect claim against multiple contractors; matter settled.

Joseph v. Equity Edge, LLC, 192 P.3d 573 (Colo.App. 2008). Lead counsel for two corporate and three individual defendants in action brought by the Colorado Division of Securities; obtained summary judgment on various Colorado Securities Act claims; represented same clients on appeal and obtained decision affirming partial dismissal of claims.

Lockheed Martin Services, Inc. v. Intelagard, Inc., Case No. 2007 CV 86 (Boulder Dist. Ct. 2007). Represented plaintiff in lawsuit against development partner alleging fraud and related misconduct; matter settled.

New Strater Corporation Inc. v. St. Kitts Registry, 2007 WL 2313219 (UDRP-ARB August 1, 2007). Represented plaintiff in action to recover domain name from defendant; obtained complete relief for plaintiff.

Temple v. Schumtzer, Case No. 2007 CV 00194 (D.Colo. 2007). Represented plaintiff in action against land developer for fraud and related conduct concerning development of a resort in Palm Springs; matter settled.

Teegarden v. McManus, Case No. 04 CV 442 (Boulder Dist. Ct. 2006). Represented defendant in partnership dispute over ownership of financial services firm; matter settled.

Haegle v. Scott, Case No. 02 CV 196 (Broomfield Dist. Ct. 2005). Associate counsel representing special litigation committee of the Board of Directors of Level 3 Communications, LLC. Provided advice and counsel to Board regarding complex derivative claims.

Boston Market Corporation v. Wooten, 05 CV 1727 (Jefferson Dist. Ct. 2005). Associate counsel representing corporation in action to recover proceeds of embezzlement and fraud from high level employee.

1469 South Pearl Street, LLC v. Lola European Cafe, LLC, Case No. ------ (Denver Dist. Ct. 2005). Lead counsel for Plaintiff in construction defect case; matter settled.

Kobey v. Hyland, Case No. 2005 CV 5215 (Denver Dist. Ct. 2005). Represented plaintiff in partnership dispute and construction defect litigation; matter settled.

Fortune Funding, LLC v. Ceridian Corp., 368 F.3d 985 (8th Cir 2004). Associate counsel for defendant in trial of action by office building owner and mortgagee claiming over $44 Million in damages as a result of breach of contract, construction defects, and fraud in sales/leaseback transaction. Team obtained partial summary judgment for defendant on contract and related claims; jury verdict for defendant on all fraud claims.

Janssen v. Best & Flanagan, LLC,662 N.W.2d 876 (Minn. 2003). Set precedent in Minnesota recognizing the availability of special litigation committee to non-profit corporations.

In the Matter of the Arbitration Between RBC Dain Rauscher Inc. v. Gary L. Nickel, 2002 WL 32026647 (N.A.S.D. April 04, 2002). Represented claimant Dain Rauscher, Inc. in dispute with former financial advisor; obtained judgment in favor of claimant.
